New Starship Geomorph and Cargo Bay Illustration

I've still been too busy combating the forces of evil (i.e. "real life") to make any new progress on the Starship Geomorph book, so here are a couple geomorphs of a simple cargo bay - one full of cargo and the other empty - to tide you over.
The illustration depicts a common scenario many Travellers might have experience with - the critter infestation in the cargo bay - and the stalwart ship's security agent about to have a close encounter.

The insect model was created by ShinbiHAJI and can be found at the SketchUp Warehouse.

  1. "Great.. We're goin' on a nuther flamin' bug hunt." XD

Beautiful/awesome work as always. Though the 'Office space' strikes me as needing its own air-lock/Safe entry/exit ways.... Just as a form of safety feature, kind of thing...

    1. Thanks for your comments. I've updated the Cargo Office to have a door connecting to the airlock.

  2. (^_^) "Cargo elevator is activated from within the Cargo Office." Acompanied by/with LOTS of manadory flashing lights and alert/alarms sounding. XD

Much cheers to you and yours. Happy new years best wishes.

  4. I'm really excited to see this book. I'm back into playing Traveller after a very long hiatus. Your book will be a great resource when it's done. Are you making any plans to print them on card-stock or anything? I'm presuming they are 10" square from the grid dimensions. That doesn't lend them to printing on standard paper sizes.

    1. Glad to hear more people are getting back into Traveller. I'm looking forward to getting the book finished, but still can't say when that is going to happen.

My original plan was to make this the same size as the original little black books, but it looks like the final product will be standard letter size. The basic geomorph grid shown above will print out at 5"x5".

I'm just going to release this as a PDF, so people can choose whether they want to use it just as a reference tool, print a copy, say to standard bond paper, or print out some or all of the geomorphs on card stock. I'll probably do all three. I like the idea of heavy cardstock versions, since it will make laying out the tiles easier and more intuitive.

Here's a look at my first pass printing when it was still in the LBB format: http://travellerrpgblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/geomorph-book-progress.html
